The past gets so... insane.

2/10/02

I'm just posting something 'cause I feel like posting something. I enjoy the company of some of my co-workers a little bit more. Some more than others. I found out who makes the schedules today - it ain't one of the managers, its one of the employees, which I think is completely unfair (and there's the answer to why I get so few hours, I got in a scuffle with the girl in my second week). I need to get another freakin' job. The restaurant industry sucks. Of course, I'll be 18 in 19 days, so it should be easier to get a decent job. Man, I wish I could go back to the oil company I worked for, but with the oil industry being like it is, I doubt that is possible.

2/07/02

Got something against me? Leave a message in the Anti-Book. All IP blocks have been taken out in this directory, so everyone is welcome, including Mr. Houtz.

2/06/02

You want war? You got it buddy.

That's right folks - The Mr. Brown Network and its associates have declared JIHAD against Wyatt Houtz of www.havenofbliss.com.

Why can't this person stand me, you might ask? I think its because he knows I'm a MacDaddy and he never has been, or never will be the MacDaddy that I am.

2/02/02

Some of the employees are Posados are plotting against me.... I think.
According to one employee, one of the few I actually trust, she overheard another employee mention something about me in bad context.

I can make this simple... I used to work at Lone Star Lafayette - I can deal with ANYTHING and ANYONE.

1/20/02

As sad and pathetic as it may seem, I've already started a list of people I don't like at Posados. Yup, after only 5 shifts. ;-)

1/08/02

Wanna see something interesting?
How about a catalog of my life since the beginning of the year 2000 ?
Click here (be warned, its a good 120K).

1/07/02

Nothing important happened today.....oh yeah, I did start my new job, however.

1/02/02

I got my last paycheck today... less than 30 dollars! And I'm completely broke from the trip to Disney World! Very good New Years fireworks, however. I'll post the pictures when I get 'em developed - and if they come out. ;-)

Check out the update to the BelAir page.

12/19/01

Two things - I have a domain, "iownyour.biz". EchoArts.com appraised this domain as having an optimal value of $2,600. So... if you'd like - make an a offer and we'll talk. :-) I do have the paperwork necessary to prove this.

Second, my 2nd to last paycheck was directly deposited... damn. ;-)

12/12/01

Just so everybody knows - my last day at Lone Star will be Feb. 2nd, 2002. Thank God for that.

12/06/01

The FuneralQuest game is very successful so far. I need to add this detail to the rules of the game however, you need to provide a VALID email address when you register, otherwise I will have no way to send you the money. If you did not register with a valid email address, please email me with your username, password, and a valid email address and I will add it to your account information.

12/05/01

FuneralQuest has been reset... now its time for the game to get BRUTAL.

I am providing a prize of $10, to be paid via PayPal, to the top player as of 12:00 AM CST on Monday, December 24th, 2001. There are a couple of rules, however....

  1. You may NOT have multiple accounts. Players who create multiple accounts will be disqualified. And yes, I am watching.

  2. I am not responsible for server outages. If you can't play cause the server is down, too bad.

  3. Since I'm doing this out of my own pocket, what I say goes. I will be the judge, jury, and executioner on everything.

  4. This contest is not sponsored by RTSoft or Seth Robinson, so don't e-mail him or his company about it!

If you don't have a PayPal account, and want one - click here. Note, an account is not necessary to receive the $10 prize.
Remember, the address to the FQ server is http://66.76.106.151/ and this is subject to change at anytime. Additionally, we are found on the FQ Server list located at http://www.rtsoft.com/fq/. We can also be accessed through http://www.mrbrownlive.com/, but this has a banner ad at the bottom of the page and is not recommended.

11/26/01

My IP address was finally reassigned, therefore the previous address for FuneralQuest will no longer work. The new address is http://66.76.106.151/. Of course, you can always access the server via the server list at http://www.rtsoft.com/fq/ if my IP happens to change again.

11/18/01

I'm sick and on vacation. Fun.

11/12/01

Yet another plane crash! American Airlines Flight 587 crashed shortly after takeoff smack dab in the middle of Queens, NY. So far, there is not enough evidence to prove that it was terrorism or wasn't terrorism.

11/11/01

The FuneralQuest server is still up and running, and its more competitive than ever. Try it out! http://66.76.106.169/

11/3/01

We came in 1st in the Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands.... yeah! Of course, in the past 23 years, we've come out 1st twenty times.... not to rub it in or anything. :-)

Anyhow, we had the annual "let's stop trying to kill each other" band party tonight. Cool party...
but of course... nothing matches Voodoo! :-)

11/2/01

Last high school football game EVER! Woohoo! End of marching season tomorrow, woohoo!
Just to end the rumor... YES I am running Linux on a machine in the house. It was a Windows ME machine at one time, hosting my MP3s to the LAN... but it had Nimda and I got sick and tired of the shit, so I installed Mandrake Linux 8.0 and SAMBA. :-)

10/29/01

I'm gone for 2 days and what happens? All hell breaks loose!

2 people fired, 1 person quit, and Ruben comes in to work drunk!

10/25/01

Its about time I had one... a disclaimer.

10/18/01

The Mr. Brown Network now has a FuneralQuest server up and running. You can play by going to http://66.76.106.169/ or http://www.mrbrownlive.com/ (although you will see a banner ad here).

10/17/01

Oh boy... a host/hostess meeting on Saturday morning. They're apparently trying to "reform" us and make us slave laborers.
Oh yeah, I'd like to say "Hello" to my two former co-workers that dropped in tonight, Robin & Katie... yeah I told ya I would put something on this crappy site, eh. ;-)

10/16/01

I thought I would get into the in-crowd... so I bought mrbrown.info.
You can now access mrbrown.net through the following URLs:

10/01/01

R.I.P.
She lived a life like no other - my '56 Chevy Belair. Its now officially "dead".
On the way home from work tonight, a rod bearing flew out of the engine, creating a large gaping hole in the engine. Essentially, the engine is now a 2-ton useless piece of steel.

Pictures of the hole to come soon.

9/24/01

Another accident.. this one was my fault.

9/21/01

Mr. Brown got rear ended today! Click here to view pictures of the sacrilege that was committed.

9/17/01

Hey everybody, this is my Monday update that I promised....
If you'd like to see my show of patriotism, click here... yeah I know, the flag is the wrong way and this HAS been corrected. In addition, I have something in store for the car, but this may take a while..

On September 11th, I finally signed up for the Lone Star 401(k), which will take effect on my first paycheck of October... putting 13% of my income into it... so I'm taking a slight paycut. Oh well... at least I'll get some money out of it.

9/12/01 UPDATE

The Mr. Brown Network has made the unanimous condition to cease posting information concerning the attacks on the U.S. In addition, as a show of respect to the victims - MBN will not post anything else until the 17th. For the latest news on the attack, please goto these websites:

If you wish to donate to the victims, their families, and the relief fund, please goto these websites:

Terrorist Attack News: This morning, the government found a rental car belonging to one of the passengers aboard one of the planes. In the car, a training manual for a Boeing 757-767 was found, written in Arabic. The President declared these attacks an act of war, and NATO is considering the attack against the U.S. an attack on NATO. The UN is currently drafting a resolution concerning the attacks. It is expected that more buildings near the World Trade Center will collapse in the coming hours, and sensors have been installed on these buildings to monitor this situation.

Site News: For some oddball reason, this site has been blocked from Lafayette Parish Schools when the domain name is used. Please use the URL http://204.19.121.112. You can also use the URL http://www.iamthepeoplesman.com/. Please note, links are being updated to have the "www.mrbrown.net" addressed removed from them to allow full access to the site.

9/11/01

At around 7:45 AM CDT this morning, a Boeing 757 with 92 souls on board was flown straight into one of the two main towers of the World Trade Center. Within 18 minutes of this occurrence at approximately 8:03 AM CDT, a Boeing 767 with 65 people on board was flown into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. By 8:21 AM CDT, New York's Port Authority shut down all bridges and roads leading into the city. At 8:24, President Bush in Shreveport, LA, declared this to be an apparent terrorist attack. At 8:40 AM CDT, the FAA ordered all planes in the air to land immediately at the closest airport and grounded all flights. At 8:43 AM CDT, a Boeing 757 with 58 passengers crashed into the Pentagon, destroying one side of the building. By 9 o'clock CDT, several government buildings in DC were evacuated.

At 9:00 AM CDT, another Boeing 767 crashed in Pennsylvania. Five minutes later, the south tower of the World Trade Center completely collapsed. Shortly thereafter, the FAA redirected all flights to the U.S. to Canada. By 9:28 AM CDT, the north tower of the World Trade Center completely collapsed. At 11:15 AM CDT, the U.S. closed the borders with Canada and Mexico.

As of 9:32 PM CDT tonight, officials are currently putting the blame on terrorist Public Enemy #1 - Osama bin Laden.

In the coming days, due to the overload on news agencies' websites, The Mr. Brown Network will keep you updated on the latest information on this tragedy.

PayPal and Amazon.com have set up accounts for relief donations to the Red Cross for this horrible tragedy. The PayPal site can be reached by clicking here, and the Amazon.com site can be reached by clicking here. Donations via the PayPal site are tax deductible, which is more of an incentive to donate.

The Mr. Brown Network and its members send our condolences & prayers to the victims and the families of the victims of this horrible crime.

9/10/01

I went to RTSoft.com recently, the company of "L.O.R.D.: Legend of the Red Dragon" developer Seth Robinson. He has a new flash game out that follows in the tradition of LORD and it's kinda strange - its called "Funeral Quest" and is currently in ALPHA. Go check it out, you'll be surprised... I know I was... (click here)

9/9/01

Hey everybody, I figured I had better acknowledge the mother of all idiots that signed the guestbook with such phrases as "you're a fu**ing faggot" and "this is dumb", etc. This person is IP address 66.20.82.61, which using reverse lookup is adsl-20-82-61.lft.bellsouth.net. Feel free to do whatever you want with this fool. This is what makes the Internet such a bad place, folks. If it was like this back in 1992, there would be NO INTERNET! ;-)

I'd just like to say that I'm getting ready to set up the webcam again, along with a second webcam. Yup, that's right - a second webcam. Now you'll be able to see me in both of my rooms! ;-)

8/30/01

The situation with the Physics II class gets more and more confusing. Now, the class isn't going to be dissolved for a while, but it doesn't exist. Yup, that's right - Physics II doesn't exist, but the class hasn't be dissolved. Basically, we report to the teacher for roll, but since the class is in limbo, we can't do anything, we can't be graded on anything, and we can't learn anything. This is just getting STUPID. BTW, this is the school that has an AP English class with 4 people in it, several special ed classes with 3 kids and 2 teachers, and this is the school that has a golf cart for the principals to travel around on.

8/29/01

Well its the end of a good thing, as of tomorrow, Physics II is dissolved ;-(
I have the option of being an aide to the teacher, being an aide to another teacher and doing webpage design, taking another class with Mr. Robin (freshman band), or having that hour off.. of course, no matter which option I choose - I still get a Physics II credit.

8/28/01

I think somebody at Amazon.com made a pricing error and I caught this good fact just in time. Less than a week after purchasing and receiving the iPaq, Amazon has raised the price from $199.99 to $349.99 - the average retail price, BTW.

8/22/01

Perhaps it is time for a career change?

8/18/01

I finally decided to buy a new handheld computer, and went with the Compaq iPaq 3135. If you click the link there and buy it off of Amazon.com, not only do you get a 50 dollar rebate, you can get free shipping!

Did you know you can get paid for reading your email? Click here to find out more.

8/8/01

On the night of 8/8, Jan - our long time kitchen manager - quit. That's TWO MANAGERS in TWO DAYS!

7/29/01

Well I'm going to take advantage of something I never knew existed at Lone Star... the formal complaint process... 'nuff said. :-)

7/25/01

Well... I don't have the 401(k). They only sign people up every 4 months, and I just missed it. Now I have to wait until October.

7/23/01

On the 24th, I will have worked at Lone Star for close to 9 months and a total of 500 hours... which makes me eligible for.... BENEFITS! Yes, thats right folks - Mr. Brown will be eligible for the Lone Star 401(k) Retirement Plan. Now that's an accomplishment! Perhaps I could get a raise out of this too... heh

7/21/01

No I haven't been abducted by aliens - I'm alive and well and the website will run once again.. I saw an old friend of mine today, we're going to see a movie sometime this week... whoopee. Oh yeah - I earned more money on vacation than I do in two weeks at Lone Star - now that's pathetic!

7/8/01

We be closed! heheh
Actually this site won't be updated for two weeks. I'll be out of town. The webcam will be turned off. mrbrownlive.com will be disabled until I get back (although I am running Apache now, which is much safer for a webserver... IIS sucks!). Good night.

7/7/01

mrbrownlive.com has been running for less than 2 days and the 13-year old wannabe hacker script kiddie is already after me. I hope ya'll folks know that Big Brother is watching you - I read the logs everyday.. btw, to my wannabe hacker out there... I deleted the scripts directory. Yeah, in my day we called em "directories", not "folders".

7/2/01

The webcam is back online.

6/29/01 Part II

It's not everyday you see a world leader being escorted by two Dutch prison guards. :-)

6/29/01

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US!
I just got this thing via UPS today.. check out the pictures.. ;-)

Some of the wording on this thing is absolutely stupid... such as on Side A: "Playable with all version worldwide of Playstation programs." and on both sides you'll see "Playing game with utmost funny!". On Side B, you'll see more nonsense and a couple of misspelled words. ;-)

6/20/01

I said that I would never do it - well I have no choice. The Mr. Brown Network is now accepting donations to defer its operation costs. The minimum donation accepted is $1 and can be done through Amazon.com (Click the graphic below our counter). I want to add some features to the site, such as user pages, files, a webcam (yeah, I want to bring it back), and since I'm back on the emulation scene - in a way - I want to start an emulation section. I can promise if you donate towards the cause, I'll personally email you and thank you, plus you'll have access to all of the new features first.

In other news, I'm now addicted to the show "Inside Cell Block F" and the CourtTV network in general. Just remember, there won't be no deals when the man in black comes after you! :-)

6/14/01

Well I finally did it. I beat my 3-year long standing score on the pinball machine. Take a look at the new score by clicking here. (it's a 304K JPEG)

6/9/01
by Mr. Brown

I just recently got back onto the internet. We recently experienced major flooding in the area, resulting in a ruined carpet and some sidewalk damage - but other than that, we're OK. Geocities took the prom pictures down, so don't even try to view them.

5/17/01
by Mr. Brown

Ya'll can view my prom photos by going to my Geocities account (mrbrown.net's ftp server was down for a few days and I ain't gonna upload the pictures again!) by clicking here.

The Mr. Brown Network Version 4.0 will be revealed soon. I'm still working on it - it'll be peeerrrrttyyy.

5/3/01
by Mr. Brown

Well its official - I now have a date for prom. Take a looksee by clicking here - it's kind of an old picture, back when she was working with me, but it gets the point across, capeesh?

4/30/01
by Mr. Brown

OK, I took a move. If you're trying to connect to mrbrown.net from certain places (for example, Comeaux High School), you may notice broken links, broken images, and Error 403s. This is not an accident and this "problem" is documented... it isn't a problem - I'm blocking certain IP addresses from being able to get and post certain things on this website. If I find anything obscene, I'll add the IP address to the list.

4/24/01
by Mr. Brown

I don't know if people realize this, but Apache logs EVERY action done on this page - along with your IP address.

206.97.249.51 - stop leaving god damn messages in my guestbook. I'll erase 'em anyways... you're just a waste of bandwidth and time. And quite frankly, I don't care about the comments you're leaving. You're just a festering little sore that can easily be dealt with. Your ISP is Globalreach.net - I'll show 'em the activity log along with your postings and get your account cancelled.. it's as easy as that.

Anyhow, I (probably) have a date for prom now. I just need to wait for her to call me with her schedule for the coming weeks.

4/23/01
The AOL Experiment: Day 1

My first day using this incredibly crappy service is over with. I found that even accessing it with my cable modem through TCP/IP was slow. Its like watching a slug crawl along a hot cement surface. And then once you are up and going, you find out that you have to download some update that should've been included long ago.

The actual content of the service itself is not bad, however - it is just the way it is delivered. If they could find a way to deliver it better, then the service would be a valuable asset to the Internet community. Right now it is simply a sharp, jagged rock.

4/22/01
by Mr. Brown

Well - I'm finally starting to become corrupt. My co-workers invited me to a frat party, and I actually went and had to be snuck in through the back since I'm not 18. I don't know what's cooler - actually being invited or having 20 drunk chicks dance with ya.. ;-)

I've started a little experiment - the AOL project. I am taking advantage of a free trial just to see how much America Online truly sucks. I'll report my results here every so often. My "screen name", as they so generously put it, is "mrbrown1602" - so feel free to contact me. ;-)

4/18/01
by Mr. Brown

The election has officially been over for a couple of days now. It ended the day before Good Friday. I'm not getting a revote... my opponent has connections and got the revote chance I had cancelled. Oh well - I left an impact, and that's good.

The webcam will be back soon....

4/2/01
by The People's Man

To all of those that supported me in the senior class president election - I thank you. But it ain't over yet - our appeals process has just begun. Stay tuned for additional details... I'll get a runoff if it kills me.

3/25/01

Howdy there... if you came here from mrbrownforpresident.com - I welcome you. Feel free to have a look around.

2/20/01

Some of ya'll may have heard that I'm doing some major political reading - so here it is..

Yeah, that's right... Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto, Thomas Paine's Common Sense, and the most controversial of them all - Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

2/19/01
by Mr. Brown - the one and only poster to this site

Why speak when you have nothing to say?
Well I have something to say actually - to all of those who think I'm an idiot, go right on believing that. Your lives are NOTHING compared to my single life.

It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion...

2/11/01
by Mr. Brown

Both of my jobs are keeping me really really busy. When I'm not working at one, I'm working at the other. It's actually sort of fun.

Last night was the "Favorites" dance at school. I went out with a bunch of my friends and had dinner. The main complaint I received was I was "too quiet". Why speak when you have nothing to say? :-)

I'll scan the picture I had taken at "Favorites" once I get it, as I think all of ya'll will enjoy it.

1/22/01
by Mr. Brown

Wow... it's been a LONG time since I've updated this page... well lemme fill you in on what's going on in my life..
I've gotten a second job with an "energy land services" company here in Lafayette. I get paid $6/hr to do odd jobs and I only go in maybe two or three times a week. I'm working on a new website, and whenever I'm finished with it, I'll let ya'll know... but it'll be damn good and it'll take a very long time to complete. Think of it as a more friendly version of "The Stile Project".

I've been on an eBay rampage lately - I'm buying too much... time to start saving my cash...

1/9/01
by Mr. Brown

I finally broke out and bought myself a SPARCstation... god help me. :-)

1/2/01
by Mr. Brown

Well my first post of the year... what do I have for ya? Well, I have nothing, but I do have a link exclusively for users of the Linux operating system...

It's Christmas time again... and it has just passed... woohoo.

12/24/00

Merry Christmas folks!

12/20/00
by Mr. Brown

Welp... I got my first paycheck today, and lemme tell ya - I'm not the least bit amused. I'm not the least bit happy. In fact, I'm quite angry. My paycheck covered 11/29-12/12. I was hired on 12/1. From there, I was only scheduled to work 3 days, for a total of 14.72 hours. I worked those three days, but I didn't know the days I was getting paid for on the check, so I scheduled my ass off for the next week, working well over 30 hours. Well... I was screwed.

I got a check for a whoppin' $30.90. I could've made that on AllAdvantage.com with the surfing I do!

Now I don't get my pay for the "Christmas" work I did (I worked those days to pay for my Christmas shopping) until well AFTER the holidays (1/3 is the next payday). There goes the gift shopping.

12/18/00
by Mr. Brown

I finally have a checking account! Woohoo! No more carrying around hundreds of dollars on me! :-)
Go see "MacArthur Park" when it comes out in theaters... should be very interesting... the official website, you ask? www.billgatesisdead.com

12/10/00
by Mr. Brown

Some of ya'll may be old BBSers, like myself. A lot of that group will remember a door game called "Legend of the Red Dragon", or as it is better known, "LORD". LORD was originally developed by Seth Robinson, and grew to be the most popular BBS door game ever known. Seth would later go on to develop "Planets: TEOS", "LORD II: New World", and a Windows9x DirectX game called "Dink Smallwood".

Anyhow, after Seth developed Dink Smallwood, he believed that getting rid of his BBS products would be the best thing to do. So he sold the rights of them (Planets, LORD, LORD II, T-LORD) to a company called Metropolis Gameport. Gameport has yet to do anything with the sources of these products. LORD hasn't been updated for about 2 years now, TEOS hasn't been touched since 1996, and LORD II hasn't been touched since it's final release. This is pretty damn pathetic. BBS games are still extremely popular, and now people are demanding ports of these great games to other operating systems, like Linux, FreeBSD, BeOS, etc. Well, damnit, we want a 32-bit LORD! Gameport refuses to let the new developer of LORD to port the game to other platforms, so let Gameport know how you feel.

I'm redesigning the "Thou Shalt Not Be Lame" section. It now has it's own directory and the lists are semi-organized... it's still under construction though, so watch out for falling HTML.
I'm now angry about the fact that I don't have any Aussies in the house... if you have no idea what I'm talking about - goto the second lamelist. One of the new entries has to do with this situation....

12/01/00
by Mr. Brown

I've decided to start a new list - this time a list of complete and utter "tightasses" (I think that's the plural...heh). Should be coming very soon. I'll even allow people to make nominations to the list.

11/28/00
by Mr. Brown

Well... I've got a job. I start working as a host (in training, of course) at Lone Star Steakhouse on Friday. I'll miss appearing on deadair, but at least I'll have Christmas cash!

11/26/00
by Mr. Brown

Howdy everybody. I've done some slight remodeling to the site and it's not completely finished. Hopefully I'll have it finished sooner or later. I'm using FrontPage 10 to manage the site now, which is still in beta. Although, I'm only using it for design. Most of the stuff is still being edited with the good ol' fashion DOS text editor.

It's Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving to all you Americans out there. It has now been exactly one year since my compadres (why do I refer to 'em as that?) and I marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade... right now, at the time of typing this message (at about 1:15pm CST), one year ago, we would've been waking up at this time to eat breakfast. Well I'll be out for most of the day, so don't try to ICQ me or IM me or Odigo me. I'm NOT HERE

11/22/00
by Mr. Brown

Wow! Tomorrow will mark exactly one year since my compadres (the CHS band) and I marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's kinda hard to believe... exactly one year ago, I was freezing my ass off in New York City. I wanted to give a long speech here, but I'm bad with words. It was one heck of a ride. ;-)

I've decided to retract the statement that I want the Republican nomination in 2020. With all the political madness going on, I've decided to be an independent! People will be tired of the two parties by 2020. Anyhow, I've moved the counter so you can actually see it without having to scroll all the way down the page.

11/16/00
by Mr. Brown

I'm announcing my candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination in 2020. Yes, 2020. I'm trying to start a grassroots effort here, damnit! mrbrownforpresident.com should be up very shortly stating my positions on the issues that effect you most!

Help me get money for Christmas! The Mr. Brown Network is now an Amazon.com associate. Basically, if you click my Amazon.com link, and order something - I get 5% of the purchase price (most of the time). I need the money for Christmas so that I can actually buy good gifts for people this year instead of mrbrown.net t-shirts! :-)

Checked the guestbook moments ago only to find such a long, hateful message that the book actually freaked out for once. I logged on to my trusty shell account with Dr. Cheap and downloaded the ten megabyte access log... so here's the idiot's IP address for EVERYONE to see..

Feel free to do anything to this nut... I condone just about anything. :-)

My rant for the day - people that complain that they don't learn everything in "American History" because they claim the teacher is "bad". I happen to like this American History teacher for one big reason, he considers everybody to be responsible enough to read the book outside of class. If the person doesn't read the material, it's their problem. They know it's going to be on the test ahead of time, so why don't they just pick up the book and read a few pages? Takes no effort at all.

I've passed every test in this class this year... why? Because I read what I'm supposed to read.

Yeah, mrbrown.net is still not out of DST (daylight savings time), go figure... or maybe my clock is screwed up... anyhow, the cam still isn't up, and I got fed up with the picture that was being made available, so I put a nice little "this doesn't work" message up. Will Mr. Brown ever get the cam fixed? Depends...

Anybody out there want to buy me a PS2? ;-)

As you may have noticed, I've been putting that the recent articles were by either communist leaders or mexican revolutionaries... why? Because I got bored with "Mr. Brown". I'm the only person that ever writes anything on this pitiful website of mine. Did you know the Mr. Brown Network has T-Shirts and various merchandise? Neither did I.... Go check 'em out... http://www.cafepress.com/mrbrown/.

Now onto some real news. The band partook in a friendly competition on the eve of the 28th. We, of course, came out first with a score of 90-something, on the infamous Texas UIL score system which I'm so familar with. On the way home, I listening to my MP3 of "Galactic Empires" on my radio, which is now working for some odd reason....strange.....

Oh yeah, this site is blocked in the People's Republic of China. Woohoo. :-)

There is only one thing I look forward to in my life... doing "Cash Money" at the football games. And that's being taken away from me... why? WHY? Well... the football season is coming to a close. ;-)

In addition, you know you have too much time on your hands when you:

  • Download all the music out of your flip folder with Napster.

  • Download the show music in MP3 format... and actually listen to it.

by Mr. Brown

I of course went to Houston over the weekend. The band came out 4th, which is pretty good considering we didn't have a warm up, we traveled on the bus for 5 hours, we were extremely rushed, and we were up against Texas bands. But heck, we were the top rated Louisiana band and we were the last band to receive a rating of "1". I also went to the Renaissance festival and bought this really semi-disgusting looking gargoyle to put on top of my computer... fun.

Yeah, I'm still marching in the show on Saturday... and yeah, I was on Deadair today. And yes, I was tackled on television.. although you may never see that, since the show was cut off right before that happened. Good thing... ;-)

I decided simply to add onto the lame list... instead of a new lame list, there's now "Part II", which starts on number 501. Number 501 was submitted by "Big Ed", and has something to do with a Bondo-gray colored '69 Bronco. ;-)

You can check out this second part of the infamous lame list by clicking here.

It's the morning, I'm tired from the allergy pills. I went out and saw the U.S. Marine Corps Band. Very cool... when you listen to a good band - it's all good. :-)

I need a job... my speedometer in my car isn't the greatest in the world and would like to get the digital speedometer for it... of course, that costs $499.95.

Ah it's Friday the 13th... and what better way to start the day than with an email from the all-mighty Panther Modern....

Stay on the line until the recording starts.

You must try this....

Very strange....

National Discount Brokers
1. dial 1-800-888-3999 (it's free)
2. listen to all of the options
3. after hearing #7, hit 7

Every company should have an option #7.

The webcam is back up and working... I should note that it is off server now, because of a couple of complaints from the mighty Dr. Cheap.

10/12/00
by Mr. Brown

My complaint of the day:
Today I received a 0/10 in my Algebra II class for one simple reason: I used my calculator on an assignment. There were no previous announcements that we couldn't use a graphing calculator on the assignment, so I used the graphing calculator I paid 120 dollars for. Today I turned it in, and my teacher, who will have a "sucks" domain with her name very soon, said that it was "unfair" to those that didn't have a graphing calculator...

My response to this? Well I don't find it very fair that I go out and spend 120 dollars of my hard earned money on a graphing calculator and then be told that I can't use it unless everybody in the class has one. You know, it doesn't matter how you solve the problem... it could be with the most advanced computer in the world, or a slide rule... all that matters is that you successfully solved the problem in a productive manner. But some teachers don't seem to understand this.

Even though it's only a ten point grade, I'm willing to go to the principal with this.

The webcam is down. I am currently using the cable extension I use to connect the webcam with another piece of equipment here in the house. It'll be back up shortly.

God damn people are so idiotic. I had a woman park her big ass truck behind me today, waiting for her kid after band practice. After five minutes of waiting with my car in reverse and my backup lights on, I got fed up, got out of the car and yelled at the woman to move her car up, which she could've easily done. Finally, she moves it up and I back out. I get stuck behind her, and she has the frocking nerve to get out of her truck and come and cuss me out. First off, she shouldn't have been parking her fat ass there anyways. Secondly, she said the reason she wouldn't move up was because "I'm not going to have a wreck because of you." Umm... when you have at least 50ft. of clear space, it's pretty safe to say you can move up slightly to let the person you're blocking in out. I handled myself properly in the situation, but after that lady came up and cussed me out, I flipped her the infamous "Mr. Brown opinion on Linux", also known as "the bird", or "the magic finger".

Luckily, to prove that I was correct in this situation, I had a parent come up to me and agree that she shouldn't have been parking there... I also had a "right on" from several of the folks watching this when I flipped the bird at the lady. ;-)

As you can see - my life is completely pathetic, as I am now talking about driving experiences and linking to a picture of me flipping the bird.

It's finished... "Thou Shalt Not be Lame" has been finalized. No further changes to the list of 500 will be made. "Thou Shalt Not be Lame II" is in the workings, and if you would like to get involved, lemme know. Submit ideas for the new list at the same place as always - at the end of the "Thou Shalt Not be Lame" list.

I got severely lost today. I got behind a drunk milk truck driver, and I said "If this guy turns, I'm going the other way." He turned, so I went straight. Well I thought the street I was on was supposed to intersect a main road in town, but I ended up somewhere in Vermillion parish (which is REALLY out of the way). But for the first time, I was able to legally get my old '56 Chevy up to 70 miles an hour, and I'm happy to report, it didn't blow up... but I think the engine almost fell out.. heheheh :-)

In addition, I found this neat site called "Rate My Face"... you create a profile and then people rank you by your profile (which includes a picture). You can look at my profile by clicking here, or you can goto the "Rank My Face" website by clicking here.

Rock the casbah! I just did some SSI work to the page, and now a random picture should appear on this page each time you refresh it. I think I've put support in for 8 random pictures so far. View 'em all!

This update was made listening to The Clash sing "Rock the Casbah". ;-)

The clock is ticking, and I'm not moving. My day just seems to be getting worse and worse as the time ticks down... I had a bad CD burn to start out the day, my AllAdvantage.com check was voided due to "simulated surfing techniques", my windshield wipers are totally broken now, and the only thing I have to listen to is Dave Matthews. ;-)

On top of that, nobody to take to Grease still. I'm about to the extent of putting up an "application" on mrbrown.net.

Oh well. :-)

After 12 hours of sleep, Mr. Brown has come to a realization... I was nuts. ;-)
Thank you, and I'm going back to sleep.

09/23/00
by Mr. Brown - the hopeless romantic

Well... Mr. Brown went to homecoming anyways... and was BORED TO DEATH. Having a date would've eased the boredom somewhat, though.

Why can't I get a girlfriend or even a date for that matter? Am I as unattractive as a midget with a hammer? I must be... I mean.. I have the charm, I have the personality... but there must be nobody in existence that believes that the actual person is worth more than the way they look. Geez...

Oh well, in a parallel universe I might've had a date for homecoming. But I am simply a hopeless romantic. A person with the charm, but nobody to express that charm to. Half the time at that boring dance, I wanted to just bow down and kiss the hands of the girls. But why didn't I do this? Because I am a hopeless romantic. I am afraid to do anything. In a sense, I am a chicken. Unless you're a "chicken man", that ain't cool.

But now the race is on... I need a girl to take to Grease. I'll take anyone, I don't care anymore! I don't want anything romantic, etc, I just want to take a girl to Grease. If you're not busy on October the 1st (which is a SUNDAY, not a Saturday), email me right this second!

Sorry for the long rave. This update was made listening to Ben Folds Five singing "Army" and Semisonic singing "Closing Time"... heck that update took two songs.. ain't it amazing folks?

09/22/00
by Mr. Brown

I'm supposed to be alone, aren't I? No date for homecoming, and no date for Grease. Oh well.

This update was made listening to Emiko Shiratori (woah... heh) signing "Melodies of Life" (Final Fantasy IX theme), in English of course. I may be able to read Japanese (with some assistance from a Kanji chart, of course), but I surely can't speak it. :-)

Aloha. I added yet another link to the links section - penguin-army.com. Very interesting site.. you might want to check it out.

09/20/00
by Mr. Brown

I finally added a new link to the links section... first time in a while. BTW, if you have a website and want it in the links section, email me. I'll put it there, unless you suck... then you'll still probably be listed - only in the "suck section". I started scanning all of my pictures today... and it's taking WAY too long. I'm having to do it on my old 486 running Windows 95 since the scanner's software is not compatible with Windows 2000. And I can't transfer the scanned pictures to my Win2k computer 'cause Jonathan still has my network cable for that computer!

Jonathan! GIVE ME MY CABLE BACK! :-)

On a not so happy note today, George from the Big Brother house was banished... welp... there goes the show.

This update was made listening to Ben Folds Five sing "Video".

09/19/00
by Mr. Brown

I finally have a free ISA port in my computer? What does this mean to you? I can finally hook up my SCSI card so I can use my scanner. I plan on scanning ALL of the pictures I've taken over the past 3 years (including the pictures from my trip to New York City). Why am I doing this? A lot of free time...

On another note, it's fun listening to a short, fat, bald man yell at you for 3 hours in the heat. ;-)
This update was made listening to some unknown Ben Folds Five song...

by Mr. Brown

I'm selling algoredidnotinventtheinternet.com and .net and .org. You can find the .com address on eBay right now!

My domain rampage is continuing... since last night I've bought:
mrbrownsucks.net
drcheapsucks.com
dr00l.com
panthermodernsucks.net
stileisaloser.com
tonytownsoftware.com
nsaequalsbigbrother.com
algoredidnotinventtheinternet.com
56chevybelair.com
ineedadateforgrease.com
mrrobinsscapegoat.com
linuxreallysucks.com

I'm offering email forwarding on ALL of these domains, so go get your free email forwarding alias today... you can really make a lot of neat addresses with "dr00l.com".
I'm still looking for somebody to take to Grease so if you want to go, email me.

09/16/00 Part II
by Mr. Brown

Well it's official, Mr. Brown has gone completely insane. I stumbled upon this neat-o service, and decided to register a lot of domain names... 14 to be exact.
So welcome these new sites to the Mr. Brown Network:

energyequalsmasstimesspeedoflightsquared.com
windowsblackcomb.com
georgerocks.com
thoushaltnotbelame.com
cnet-sucks.com
mrbrownisgod.com
wxdesign.com
mrbrownlive.com
saxophonegod.com
charlesdickenssucks.com
savechickenman.com
kromaggprime.com
travis-sucks.com

09/16/00
by Mr. Brown

Well - I now own 3 domains, mrbrown.net, thoushaltnotbelame.com, and cnet-sucks.com. thoushaltnotbelame.com should be redirecting to the "Thou Shalt not be Lame" page very shortly. I'm working on getting the "C|Net Sucks" site that I had a long time ago back up for the domain now...

Now I can buy 2 domains in less than 3 minutes... yet I can't get a date for Grease or homecoming, for that matter.

The webcam is temporarily disabled AGAIN... need to search the internet for the drivers for the cam. BTW, this update was done while listening to The Doors singing "Light my Fire". ;-)

09/12/00
by Mr. Brown

While listening to Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall", I added #323 to my lame list. This has to do with my loss of a date for Grease...and the person that I believe specifically caused my demise.

09/11/00
by Mr. Brown

I checked out my guestbook a couple of seconds ago, and found this wonderful message:

Attention Mr.Brown:

You have been perceived to be by me the Christmas Poo, guity of being extremly lame. I would like to recomend you're website as well as yourself for your
"Thou Shalt Not Be Lame" list.

*you like to charm the ladies huh...ok "I am and always have been single"--Mr.Brown
...just a thought...
Have A Great Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lame Police Chief Mr. Hankey Brown THE CHRISTMAS POO <christmaspoo@fuh-q.cum>
South Park , CO USA -

My response to this:
Attention "Mr. Hanky",
I find this incredibly funny. So, I downloaded a very funny document on my server in the directory of "logs" with the filename "access". It's about 10MB, but it was worth the download. I looked for the latest "POST /cgi-bin/guestbook.cgi". Here's what I found :
216.78.10.175 - - [11/Sep/2000:20:14:11 -0500] "POST /cgi-bin/guestbook.cgi HTTP/1.0" 302 288
I continued my investigation further to find out there's apparently some sort of server running at the address 216.78.10.175, so it's safe to assume that you're on a broadband connection. And man, you viewed a lot of stuff for a website you think that sucks.

So to anybody out there that has a good, solid knowledge of hacking - here's an IP for ya! 216.78.10.175

P.S. Mr. Hanky - I'd also suggest that you learn how to SPELL.

Why is it hard for me to get people into my webring of 89 sites? Check out the guestbook to find out.

09/08/00
by Mr. Brown

I'm currently in the process of totally redesigning the site. I'm phasing out the "Site News" page and moving it all to the index.html file. You might notice now by the dates on the news entries, you see a "by Mr. Brown". Well expect to see some other people there soon, as The Mr. Brown Network is looking for associates, reporters, and people that just want to get their opinions out. Heck, maybe we'll get "Big Ed"... wouldn't that be interesting?

Update: 10:08pm
I'm going crazy folks! CHEESE! Don't believe me? CHEESE! Take a looksee at my desktop. CHEESE! Aside from the picture of Bill Clinton smiling, it looks pretty normal, doesn't it? CHEESE! I think it's safe to say that I'm obsessed with cheese.... CHEESE!

Believe it or not, I no longer have anybody to take to Grease. My life is just falling apart now, ain't it? Whelp... Dr. Cheap always has a great idea - I could scalp the tickets.. heh. So now the race is on again to find a chic to take to Grease. Email me if you want to go!

09/02/00
by Mr. Brown

I still don't have any plans for homecoming. But some good news, the Mr. Brown Network now has... t-shirts... and a mouse pad... and a mug. You can buy em through a company called CafePress - our personal site is located at www.cafepress.com/mrbrown

09/01/00
by Mr. Brown

The dark wind howls... oops. heh... wrong thing. Uh, Mr. Brown no longer has ANY plans for homecoming what-so-ever.. absolutely NOTHING... mainly because of my own god damned stupidity and my unwillingness to act quickly. So.. good day to ya! Buy raffle tickets!

08/30/00
by Mr. Brown

The raffle site is up, although I haven't put it on any of the pages yet.. you can find it at www.mrbrown.net/raffle.htm.

08/24/00
by Mr. Brown

You know, I got home today after a long day of band practice... and as always, I checked my guestbook immediately when I got home. I saw this extremely long message about how I should be ashamed of myself for not using Linux.... Linux sucks... get a real *NIX system... BSD UNIX, AT&T UNIX, ... heck even FreeBSD would do... even Solaris! Linux is just a lousy excuse for an OS created by a damned idiot that can't even make a good speech. I have an old 486 running FreeBSD with Apache... I use it to run a test version of the Mr. Brown Network. http://maggie.sliders.home baby!

08/16/00
by Mr. Brown

I added a FastCounter... you may question the number of hits... but I'll tell you exactly where I got that number.. it's the number of "successful accesses". This number is generated every week by Analog, a nifty *NIX program that does stats for various web servers. You can view mrbrown.net's stats at www.mrbrown.net/stats/

08/14/00
by Mr. Brown

I added tons of new pictures to the belair page.. check it out.

When you're out of it, you're really out of it. I just now discovered I have messages in the "Sliders BBoard Hall Of Fame". You can view my entries at http://www.slidersweb.net/eustislider/mrbrown1602/mrbrown1602.htm

08/09/00
by Mr. Brown

Well I found a lucky "winner" to bring with me to Grease. Actually I did this a few days ago, but I've been so freakin tired from band camp, I haven't had the time to write this crap in.

08/05/00
by Mr. Brown

Well looks like Swapoo is already meeting it's end. Sega is already making, so far idle, threats to Jeff Freeman. Damn corporate America! Damn 'em to hell!

All of the following updates were made by Mr. Brown.

08/04/00

ROMnet offically changed their name to "Swapoo". Just figured I better put this notice in...

08/03/00

If you don't know, Mr. Brown has a 5 percent stake in a company called "ROMnet". If you haven't heard about this exciting program, it allows people to trade video game ROM files via the Internet. It works a lot like Napster. The author of the program is a great dude, IMHO, and will probably get some huge investor like Napster did.

If you want to check this program out, just goto their website by clicking here.

08/02/00

I have two tickets to see Grease. Of course, Mr. Brown is taking 'em for himself, but some lucky person, whom I choose, whom will be female, will get the 2nd ticket. Now am I a nice guy, or what???

They also determined what the heck was wrong with my car, if anybody wants to know, send me an email and I'll tell you the embarrassing solution that was discovered.

07/27/00

For the first time since 1996, Mr. Brown has made a very rash decision... I've decided to post the source code to a program I wrote in early 1997 called "TonyRun". TonyRun runs on the Wildcat Interactive Net Server, something most of you have probably never heard of until now. The source is wcCode, so don't expect to understand it... personally, I don't understand it because I don't remember it... but if you want to see it - click the link below..

TonyRun version 1.00

07/25/00

I've decided to start editing the website with StarOffice's HTML editor... it looks like its easier than coding by hand, and it can't screw things up that badly... can it?

07/02/00

Do you like to argue? Want to do something different, fun, and interesting? I'm looking for 20 participants of all shapes and sizes that are willing to take some time to beta test this new website I'm in the process of creating. Just email me at beta-argue@mrbrown.net. All participants will be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (a NDA), so you must be able to legally bind yourself in a contract (in other words, you CANNOT be a minor UNLESS you have a parent/guardian co-sign). Participants may be rewarded in several different ways!

06/27/00

I finally got my second processor for my computer today. Mr. Brown is now running on 2 Celerons running at 550MHz a piece. Nice, eh? But now I have a broken spacebar on my keyboard, and it's a pain in the ass to do a space...

06/23/00

I'm back, and I'm now the co-webmaster of www.deadair.net. Deadair is a local TV show that's on the public access channel here in Lafayette. If you live in the area, check it out sometime. Even if you don't - at least check out their website.

06/21/00

Still on vacation. I corrected my voice-mail number in the contact section. Aparentally the last digit is a "3" instead of a "5". =)

06/18/00

So you've thought I've gone missing, eh? I've been on vacation for the past week or so and I plan on being on vacation till Thursday or Friday. To my fans - I'll be back soon. To my enemies - I quite frankly don't care about yall! My enemies can go on hating me. =)

06/09/00

I've added the Video Archive. This is an archive of the funniest videos I find on the net, and some I've produced myself by combining various media. All files are in Windows Media format, unless noted. Why? Because I hate all of the non-microsoft supported operating systems avaliable (except for PalmOS, MacOS, and FreeBSD).

06/09/00

The webcam is down for the moment. I am trying to move it into my bedroom, but I cannot find the AT to PS/2 converter so I can do this (the cam is powered off of the PS/2 keyboard port). I'll let you know when it's back up and running.

06/03/00

I added a link to the Dominion Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. I plan on staying here shortly after I graduate in 2002. What's its significance? The Dominion Hotel is a "Sliders" shrine of sorts - in the 2nd season, this is where they stayed at on every world they visited. Why's it in Vancouver though, you ask? The show was filmed in Vancouver. =)

05/22/00

ITS BACK! The Mr. Brown Network proudly presents "A Day in the Life of Mr. Brown".... also known as the webcam.. previously known as the TonyCam 2000. Have fun with this neat little gizmo of mine and let me know if there are any problems with it.

05/13/00

I have made the DeCSS program avaliable for download on my server. This will definately piss the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) off, but oh well. They're a bunch of pricks anyways. In addition, I plan on giving my laptop away to a friend. If I don't give it away, I'll sell it for the greatest amount of money offered to me. For more info on the laptop, please look on the computer page... it's my "Wade" laptop.

05/01/00

Is there anyone out there willing to loan me $59 dollars? I need to get my Nintendo 64 repaired (even though I don't play it anymore... EMULATION RULES!). Anyways, it doesn't even show anything (just a blank screen), there are no repair centers close (so I have to send it in to the big "N"), and its no longer under warranty.

04/30/00

I volenteered for the band BBQ today. Fun.

04/25/00

Added the 'Contact Mr. Brown' page.. I didn't realize until recently that I didn't have my email address listed anywhere on the Mr. Brown Network. In addition to my email address, I have my voice mail listed (which I hardly check), my ICQ uin listed, and my AOL instant messenger ID listed.

04/24/00

I added disclaimers to certain pages due to the new federal act, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA for short. This act requires sites to obtain parental consent from the underage (younger than 13) or risk a wonderful $10,000 fine for each violation. Don't we just love the United States Government? (btw, USGOV, this site is located in CHINA from this point on!)

04/14/00

I added links to the BelAir pictures on every page and removed the Fontpak

04/13/00

I added pictures of the BelAir. They're only accessable via the index page and this page, though.

04/09/00

I got rid of the AllAdvantage.com banner on the main page and moved it to the links page. Please join under my referral ID! It helps me out a whole lot. Anywho, I changed the banner to a banner advertising Cleavant Derricks' (Sliders' Remebrant Brown) new cd, Beginnings.

03/01/00

I updated the About Mr. Brown page to reflect my age change... I also added "Mr. Roboto" to my songs list and emm... I added a special talents section.

02/29/00

Today is my 16th/4th birthday. Say happy birthday to Mr. Brown , would ya?

02/23/00

I accidentally erased the guestbook... damn

02/22/00

I added a links page. I'll make an add to page form ASAP. If I forgot anybody, please lemme know.

02/14/00

Fine! I deleted the FP98 extensions myself. I really don't give a flying crap if that screws
